To monitor your pet's ongoing health and aging process, Meadows Animal Hospital recommends regular physical examinations
as part of your pet's health care. Our skilled veterinarians can identify potential health concerns in the earliest stages and address any health care needs immediately. We will check your pet's ears, eyes, teeth, skin, weight and overall physical condition. We will address any questions or concerns you might have about your pet's health. We recommend yearly stool examinations and annual bloodwork to check for intestinal parasites and heartworm disease. Other preventative services we offer include:
For aging pets, we recommend a geriatric profile that will include a thorough examination and bloodwork. We will carefully and compassionately check your pet for healthy organ function and any early signs of illness or failing health.
Your pet's vaccinations are an important part of preventive veterinary care. For your dog, we recommend providing regular immunization against Distemper, Coronavirus, Bordetella, Leptospirosis, Hepatitis and Parvo. Rabies vaccination is required by law for all dogs. For cats, we recommend Distemper, Rabies and upper respiratory virus vaccinations. These vaccinations are required for pets that are housed in our boarding kennel, visiting our pet daycare or hospitalized in our veterinary clinic.
Regular dental care is important to protect your pet's teeth and overall health. We will carefully check your pet's teeth during his or her regular examination, and we will recommend our professional dental services if they are required. We offer ultra-sonic cleaning and polishing, tooth extraction and oral surgery to address your pet's ongoing dental needs at our veterinary hospital.
